I live a pretty stress free life now.
But it wasn’t always this way, I have cultivated my life to be like this over time.
Ready to join me in stress-less bliss?
It really isn’t too hard, but it takes a bit of courage.
Sit back, and relax. I am about to change your world.
We sign up for “Mindful Monday” emails that contain some cliche, tree hugger meme that we forget three seconds after we read it.
We listen to stress less podcasts, and burn essential oils in our cars so we don’t kill the idiot driver next to us because of road rage.
We choke down herbal supplements like they are a snack food, or self medicate with booze because we can’t handle the stress.
We do all of this and we are still over stressed without knowing why:
-But I read my Mindful Monday pick-me-up (while throwing back a five hour energy)
-But I meditated a whole 5 minutes (While on the toilet trying to ignore the crying toddler at the door)
-But I did yoga for an hour (at a studio that I had to drive across town in bumper-to-bumper traffic to get to)
The APA reports that we are more stressed than ever before, even though we are spending more on ourselves and our stress than ever before. The “self-help” industry is a multi-billion dollar industry. And yet, the majority of Americans still report being moderately stressed on a daily basis.
So, what’s going on?
It is counter productive to read an email that tells you to be mindful only to read the next email that sends you straight to stressville because a project you just spent six months on is all wrong.
That’s like eating a donut while walking on a treadmill, ain’t gonna work.
Or pasting cliche catch phrases on everything like, “Think Positive”. You can’t do it if you aren’t taught how.
We have to do something drastic.
We have to be different. (This is where the courage I mentioned earlier comes into play)
And be comfortable being different, that is the key.
So, join me!
We will work together to break down what is stressing us out, look at changes that we can make, and get to feeling better.
6 weeks, 30 bucks, a less stressful you.
You spend more than this on coffee, you can do it.
